Non-Resident Fee: State of Colorado policy requires that non-residents must pay more than residents for CU Boulder credit. As such, Education Abroad program Fees for non-residents include an additional charge, currently set at $1800. The fee is subject to change and is used to suport CU Boulder Education Abroad. The fee does not apply to CU Boulder Global Intensives.

Round-trip travel to program site, meals, passport fees, local transportation, books and personal expenses. NOTE: The cost estimates do not include personal travel.

Fee Exceptions

  • You are responsible for an additional application fee paid directly to University of Sussex as part of the registration process. This fee is non-refundable if you withdraw from the program.
  • Students choosing options other than what is included in the base program fee (i.e. Lab or Fieldwork Fees, Housing upgrades, optional excursions, etc.) will be billed by and payable to Sussex University for those additional charges.

If for any reason you withdraw before or during the course of the program, CU Boulder Education Abroad must be notified in writing. You are responsible for the corresponding withdrawal fee based on the date of your withdrawal. Any fees paid directly to your host university, such as housing payments or additional course fees, are not included in the withdrawal fee schedule and may or may not be refunded by your host university.
