Non-Resident Fee: State of Colorado policy requires that non-residents must pay more than residents for CU Boulder credit. As such, Education Abroad program Fees for non-residents include an additional charge, currently set at $1800. The fee is subject to change and is used to suport CU Boulder Education Abroad. The fee does not apply to CU Boulder Global Intensives.

Items included in the Program Fee

Instructional costs (does not include pre-session or special course fees), on-site orientation, housing, international health insurance, ISIC card, and administrative fee to CU Boulder Education Abroad.

Items included in the Estimated Costs

Round-trip travel to program site, meals, supplemental housing or catered housing fee, special course fees, visa fees, passport fees, local transportation, books and personal expenses. NOTE: The cost estimates do not include personal travel.

Fee Exceptions

  • Students choosing options other than what is included in the base program fee (i.e. Special Courses, Academic Pathways, or Supplemental Housing options) will be billed by and payable to Arcadia for those additional charges.
  • Students assigned to residence halls with mandatory meal plans will be assessed an additional fee by Arcadia. This bill will be sent to your permanent address and these charges are paid directly to Arcadia.

If for any reason you withdraw before or during the course of the program, CU Boulder Education Abroad and Arcadia University must be notified in writing. You are responsible for the corresponding withdrawal fee based on the date of your withdrawal. Any fees paid directly to Arcadia University, such as housing deposits, optional add-ons, or additional fees, are not included in the withdrawal fee schedule and may or may not be refunded by Arcadia University.
