COF: CU Boulder Education Abroad programs are not COF-eligible nor will the credit earned count toward the 145 lifetime credit limits.

Non-Resident Fee: State of Colorado policy requires that non-residents must pay more than residents for CU Boulder credit. As such, Education Abroad program Fees for non-residents include an additional charge, currently set at $1800. The fee is subject to change and is used to suport CU Boulder Education Abroad. The fee does not apply to CU Boulder Global Intensives.

Instructional costs, housing, welcome and farewell meals and three other group meals, site visits, international health insurance, and administrative fee to CU Boulder Education Abroad office

Round-trip travel to program site, remaining meals, passport fee, visa fee (approx. $185 included in estimated personal expenses above) and personal expenses.

Fee Exceptions

  • TANG FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:
  • For each participant, $5,300 of the program fee will be covered by a Center for Asian Studies (CAS) scholarship thanks to the generosity of the Tang Foundation. This scholarship will be applied to your CU Boulder account in June. It will be applied to the balance of your program fee and you may receive a refund. Please remember that even though the scholarship may pay for the program fee and a portion of the estimated costs, you will need to pay the non-refundable CU deposit and purchase your airfare, before you receive the scholarship.

***Program Confirmation Date is the date the EA office authorizes a program to run and notifies the participants by email.

If for any reason you withdraw before or during the course of the program, CU Boulder Education Abroad must be notified in writing. You are responsible for the corresponding withdrawal fee based on the date of your withdrawal.
