COF: CU Boulder Education Abroad programs are not COF-eligible nor will the credit earned count toward the 145 lifetime credit limits.

Non-Resident Fee: State of Colorado policy requires that non-residents must pay more than residents for CU Boulder credit. As such, Education Abroad program Fees for non-residents include an additional charge, currently set at $1800. The fee is subject to change and is used to suport CU Boulder Education Abroad. The fee does not apply to CU Boulder Global Intensives.

Instructional costs including course-related field work and course reading material, housing & two meals daily with a host family, international health insurance, and administrative fee to CU Boulder Education Abroad.

Round-trip travel to program site, remaining meals, passport fees, local transportation, supplies and personal expenses. NOTE: The cost estimates do not include personal travel.

Fee Exceptions

  • For students choosing options other than what is included in the base program fee (e.g. housing options other than homestay), your CU Boulder account will be charged. The appropriate adjustment will be applied to your account upon receipt of notification from FUBiS.
  • Estimated meal costs may vary depending on housing selection.

If for any reason you withdraw before or during the course of the program, CU Boulder Education Abroad and FUBiS must be notified in writing. You are responsible for the corresponding withdrawal fee based on the date of your withdrawal. Any fees paid directly to FUBiS, such as housing deposits, optional add-ons, or additional fees, are not included in the withdrawal fee schedule and may or may not be refunded by FUBiS.
